Let’s get the ball rolling as the weather starts to get warmer so you can celebrate your love well into summer.

Rage Room & Swing Dancing at Cliftons DTLA
Every bad boi (or girl) needs their straight laced partner! Let it all out and explore your inner desires for rage and revenge at Rage Room Los Angeles because you don’t really know a person until you see them take a baseball bat to a car window. Blast the Deftones and go ballistic as you bash your way through 34 breakable items ($65) or take out your fury on a used car ($120). All packages come with a protective face helmet and shield, gloves, and overalls.
Once you’ve shattered everything in sight and are all cleaned up, head over to Cliftons Republic for a slightly more dignified evening of swing dancing. All skill levels are welcome so head on up to the Brookdale Ballroom for food, drinks, and a live band that plays until close. It’s free admission before 9pm, and strictly 21+ after. Be sure to double check their dress code rules as they are moderately strict with their cocktail attire requirement. There is plenty of public parking nearby, so gussy up and celebrate the differences that make you both a strong unique couple!

Breakfast at Millies & Vintage Shopping in Silverlake
Don’t be fooled by the long line at Millie’s Cafe on the weekends, they can get you and your partner in and out before you’ve digested your chilaquiles burrito. With a menu that rivals the size of that at the Cheesecake Factory, Millie’s has vegan, gluten free, and all the meat options you could dream of devouring. You can build a stack of pancakes to your style, they provide various “bacon” options, and they even offer a fulfilling lunch menu. A perennial crowd pleaser, Millie’s let’s you celebrate your differences in the most delectable way possible.
After brunch, take a stroll down Sunset Blvd. and peruse all the shops along the way. Stops like Supergoodie, Golden Age Hollywood, and Beard and the Beagle each celebrate a different style of vintage! Supergoodie offers high fashion items that are crisp and clean, Golden Age Hollywood has shoes for days, and Beard and the Beagle’s vintage t-shirts seem to go on forever. The possibilities are endless in this small section of LA.

The Griffith Park Observatory and Karaoke Night
It’s another day of sun so why not visit the South slope of Mount Hollywood at the Griffith Park Observatory. Your partner can live out their dancing dreams of LA LA Land while you enjoy the Tesla Coil demonstration! With multiple spaces to see stunning views of Los Angeles, you two can share a mini picnic or eat in the quaint Cafe at the End of the Universe. If you need more inside than outside time, the planetarium offers fascinating shows.
After your day of learning about the inner workings of our solar system, head on down to any of my favorite Karaoke Bars for a night of performing! If your date is nervous to sing, you can rent a room at Break Room 86 in Koreatown. If loud crowds are your jam, then Brass Monkey is for you! And they even have a little $5 parking lot attached for your parking pleasure.

Sports Game of Choice & Dinner & Dancing at De La Nonna & The Let’s Go!
The majority of Los Angeles’ sports venues are located in the downtown area so it’s easy to snag some great seats for your partner’s favorite! You can catch a baseball game at Dodgers Stadium this summer or cheer on our Lakers/Clippers/Kings at the Crypto.com Arena. But when compromise is needed for the non-sports yet supportive lover, it’s time to head on out to De La Nonna in the nearby arts district! De La Nonna (“From the Grandma” in Italian), specializes in market driven pizza and hand crafted cocktails. Their roasted mushroom with cream sauce and herb mix pizza is incredible and pairs beautifully with their classic pepperoni. For drinks, their “Espresso Martini Goes to Italy” (made with tequila and blend of amaro) and “Margariti” are perfect for pre-gaming the dance party that awaits you next door at The Let’s Go!
The Let’s Go is just genuinely cool. Italian inspired with hard 70’s vibes, you’ll go for the rotating dj’s and dancing and stay for the $5 Miller High Life. When “Bohemian Rhapsody” is blaring and the crowd is having a delightful night, time will slip away until they sadly call for your final nightcap. Date nights, bachelorette parties, or just cool hangs with friends are all welcome to come and enjoy!
