Kettle Glazed – Franklin Village – @kettleglazed

For a perfectly amazing selection of donuts that will make all your coworkers squeal with joy, look no further than Kettle Glazed.  This shop boasts a lovely little three table seating area if you wanna sit and enjoy your sweet treats with a good book.  From their perennial classic, the Crumb Donut, a vanilla glazed ring topped with cinnamon crumb cake to the All-American Buttermilk Maple Old Fashioned.  Kettle Glazed is sure to set your morning right and be chock full of sprinkles!

Colorado Donuts – Eagle Rock – @coloradodonuts

Listen to me very carefully when I say that their churro donut is one of the most important donuts in my life.  Always ready for a holiday or event themed donut, Colorado has a quality selection that will take you a few minutes before deciding on which twelve to select from.  Other notable donuts are the ube, horchata, and their famous Cookie Monster Donut?  You know you can’t say no, so order them all and give it the old Cookie Monster “Om Nom Nom!”

Donut Friend – Highland Park – @donutfriend

Living in LA I will with pleasure include a vegan option!  Donut Friend has perfected the vegan donut by a mile.  With an entirely cruelty free menu, Donut Friend is ever so creative with their concoctions.  I often dream about the Angry Samoa, a vanilla cake donut with dark chocolate and caramel that is based off of the famous Girl Scout Cookie!  Their Hot Rosewater Music and Youth Brulee are other classics to note.  For your friends who are scared to try vegan donuts, never fear, for one bite of the genius behind Donut Friend will certainly change their minds.

SK Donuts – Mid City – @skdonutsla

If you know, you know. SK Donuts is some of the best that LA has to offer year after year.  Located right in the heart of Mid-City, SK Donuts turns in hit after hit time and time again.  Perfectly sweet without being overly sugary, the ever delightful Dulce de Leche and the Bananas Foster are to die for.  Looking for a quality classic vanilla sprinkle or chocolate chocolate? Do-nut worry, SK has all of the solid traditional style donuts for your office party needs!  

Holy Grail Donuts – Santa Monica & Larchmont – @holeygraildonuts

Though these donuts are a little on the small side, the good news is now you get to enjoy even more of the fun flavors that Holey Grail Donuts has to offer!  With their Chai donuts causing quite the tasty stir, I recommend pairing it with the ever tasty Reincarnated donut – with taro, smoked coconut, maple, and hawaiian sea salt.  Dual locations in Santa Monica & Larchmont mean you’re never too far away from your next donut adventure!  

Donut Man – Glendora – @donutmanca

Now that it is officially strawberry season, you’ll be driving all the way to Glendora, or their newest location in DTLA,  for The Donut Man’s famous Strawberry Donut or Peach Donut (when in season).  Donut Man has been featured on Huell Howser and The Food Network!  Not into fruity desserts?  Then choose the Tiger Tail, a delightful cinnamon twist with a hint of chocolate or perfectly covered sprinkle donuts!  

Stan’s Donuts – Honorable Mention – UCLA Campus

RIP to the greatest donuts in the Southland.  The actual inspiration behind the pink donut from “The Simpsons”, Stan’s Donuts, held my personal greatest of all time donut,  The Huell, named after the wonderful travel host Huell Howser.  The Huell was filled with peanut butter and bananas and topped with fresh glaze and mini chocolate chips, had I known Covid would have closed their doors, I would have driven over everyday for one.  My love for these donuts, and Stan the Man who was always in a fantastic mood delivering sugar coated dreams!
