Now that the sun is out, one of my favorite lazy Saturday activities is to head to Skylight Books, snag a fun travel book, and post up at Figaro Bistrot.  Take a seat on their sidewalk terrace while you enjoy a glass (or two) of sancerre and a basket of the best Garlic Truffle Fries on the East Side.  It is a lovely way to get out and enjoy some shameless people watching.  The Happy Hour at Figaro Bistro is a true delight and runs everyday from 5pm – 7pm.

Larchmont & Chill

Mid-City – @larchmontbuzz

This perfect little pocket of a street is everything a single person could desire in a Freespace Day of Exploration! Larchmont has everything, from fantastic restaurants like Great White, to fantastic small business shopping, and one of the best wine and cheese stores in all of LA, Larchmont Wine, Spirits, & Cheese.  Window shop, grab a drink, or enjoy some vegan treats at Erin McKenna’s Bakery before heading home for the day!

Biking Santa Monica and The Getty Villa

Bust out your shorts and head on over to the West Side of town and rent a bike at multiple locations. I’m a fan of Santa Monica Bike Rentals, most for under $30 for the day.  Wake up early to grab a bite and a coffee, preferably at the ever fantastic Bodega Wine Bar. Since you’re all the way over there, be sure to pop over to The Getty Villa Museum.  Only $10, with free admission, take a stroll as you gaze at the ocean and various  stunning artifacts from history.
