Los Angeles, the city of spirituality and zen vibes. If you don’t know your big three (sun, moon, rising) then you’ve not been living in LA long enough. Learn to embrace how your sun sign motivates and helps you find your zest for life, the way your rising sign helps you present yourself to the world, and why your moon sign indicates your emotions and habits. In the case of being unsure of your placements or like to double check, I recommend Astro Seek’s Big 3 Calculator so you can dine in whichever of your elements as properly as possible.
Fire Signs:
Aries – Delilah
With three stunning locations, Delilah finally opened a location in Los Angeles worthy of the leader of the zodiac, Aries. Bold and ambitious with an old Hollywood themed decor, Delilah creates the enthusiastic and vibrant energy that encapsulates our ram friends. Keep it simple with chicken tenders and tuna tartar or spice up your night with house favorites such as the hamachi crudo or the baby back ribs. For drink options, the refreshing Crown Jewels; rum, elderflower, and mint, or the Strip Tease; tequila, guava, and pear are dynamite.
Leo – Mirate
Powerful, confident, and those who love being the center of attention, our sunny Leo friends need a place where they can truly shine. Tucked away in Los Feliz, Mirate is the place to have an exhilarating night. After making your appearance on their grand staircase, sit below as you guzzle down their wonderfully handcrafted cocktails like the El Caminante or the El Taquero. For food, the cauliflower ceviche is every vegan delight! Saddle up next to any of their individual tacos, rainbow carrots, or for larger parties the bone in short rib birria. Don’t forget to stop for one last nightcap at their front bar, located near the entrance. Now everyone starting their night can confirm their choice by seeing your Leo star shining front and center right where they belong.
Sagittarius – The Tower Bar (Sunset Tower)
Classic and a sheer stunner, The Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel is quintessential for Sagittarius to feel right at home. Tower Bar is anything but subdued; its eternal elegance is ingrained not just within the walnut paneled walls, but the food as well. The Tower Burger is always served with perfection, but if you’re looking to treat yourself, the market fish (tuna, branzino, or salmon) prepared with lemon crumbs and two sides are sure to please all at your table. As for the sides, their mac and cheese and deviled eggs are lovely. Be aware you must prepare yourself for a hefty final bill, though more often than not, it will be served with a side of a celebrity sighting!
Air Signs:
Gemini: Spina
Two sides of the same coin, for our Gemini friends who love showcasing their dual personalities, there is no better place than the perfect Spina. Though it appears humble and quaint on the outside, the food served there is as lux as anything you’ll find in Beverly Hills. Located in the heart of Atwater Village, Spina crushes with their clean and simple Italian menu. The prosciutto and burrata and Poplette al Sugo (beef meatballs with crostini) will transport you to the Italian countryside with their immense flavor. The Linguine al Nero de Seppia Alla Pescoatora divinely captures the fresh sea bass and lobster. Whereas the Tonnarelli al Tartufo e Salsiccia dazzles with its spicy sausage and black truffle pairing. The power of duality that is contained within the white walls of Spina is every Gemini’s deepest desire fulfilled.
Libra: Mother Wolf
Blance, harmony, peace, Libras are the most easy going and friendly of all the zodiac signs. Happy to go and do whatever makes everyone else happy; however when it’s their time to shine, Mother Wolf was tailor made for them. Paying homage to Rome, the eternal City, Mother Wolf is classic Italian at its finest! If you’re finding it difficult to choose as a Libra, never fear, Mother Wolf keeps the options small but stellar in flavor. For pizzas, you cannot go wrong with the Diavola, salami, basil, and pepperoncini or the divine Quattro Formaggi, four cheeses topped with spring onions. For my more adventurous eaters, the Rigatoncini Alla Vaccinara with oxtail ragu and the Fusilli Al Cinghiale with wild boar ragu are not to be missed.
Aquarius: F & Bar
Intellectual, creative, and deeply social Aquarius are always searching for the most unique and intriguing dining options. Here they find solace in one of LA’s best underground restaurants; F&Bar. Catering to each guest’s individual experience that operates out of a 100 year old house, F&Bar has two locations in Hollywood and Atwater Village. Describing the food and drinks is challenging since it changes at the chef’s will. $140 per person (cash only and tip not included), be ready to be wow’d and be open to the creative muses that flow within. However should you have allergies, please note them when reserving your slot. Additionally, be aware that vegetarian/vegan and non-alcoholic options are not currently available at this time.
