Book a 45-minute family tour, where your tour guide is a local middle schooler and tickets range from $5 – $10. For those wanting a more in-depth historical tour led by a professional, this hour-long tour explores the handcrafted details and fixtures unique to the house.

Let’s Get Outdoors!
Removed from the big city vibe that is Los Angeles, Eaton Canyon feels like the sort of magical place you might escape to in a fairytale. With a hike level from moderate to hard, this 2+ hour (depending on how fast you wanna go) is a hike for the books – but get prepared to get wet! Depending on the amount of rain the city received before your visit, the small trails and rivers might be higher than usual, resulting in a more difficult hike. Nestled deep in the canyon, sunscreen won’t be needed, but waterproof shoes or a set you don’t care for any longer – are necessary. Your reward at the end of the trail is a stunning waterfall that makes the journey worth it.
Dinner and Nightlight:
If you’re heading to the Pasadena Playhouse, there’s only one name you need to know when making a reservation: Bar Chelou. Start with the New Orleans Sazerac, which includes Absenith or the Lemon Drop Martini if you’re looking for something sweet. Check out the Heirloom Tomato Toast or the Scallop Tartar for a starter then graduate onto their Duck Leg with Macadamia Nut Dukkah or the Rainbow Trout with corn rice before heading to your selected play of the evening.
This historic and 2023 Tony Award-winning regional theatre playhouse produces a wondrous variety of cultural events and artistic endeavors including premier works by Tennesse Williams, Eugene O’Neill, Suzan Lori Parks, and many more. Tickets can range from $50 – $130, making this an affordable way to experience live theatre. With an array of performances; one-person plays, classical and modern theatre, and musicals – The Pasadena Playhouse is the perfect way to end your evening.
